S&P 500 All Time High

I delayed posting this as I didn't want to jinx the index from closing at an all time high. So I guess my thinking worked and the market gods delivered(I mean listened to me). Today we set not only an intra-day high(2,143.16), but an all time closing high(2,137.16) on the S&P 500.  Funny that it happened not to long after the Brexit vote. I bet most people would have thought it impossible to hit a new high so soon after the vote.

I wouldn't get to comfortable though. I don't think this means a straight shot up is in the cards. 2016 has been a pretty volatile year, and I expect the hiccups to continue. I do think that progress will continue to be made regardless albeit with some downs as a reality check.

Also if you bought the June 27 low at 1,991 today you'd be up 7.3% easily trumping the index's 4.6% YTD gain. Just shows how tough it is for most people to time the market.
